Beyond Meat is expanding beyond plant-based meat with the launch of beyond immerse, a sparkling protein beverage aimed at the fast-growing functional nutrition market. The product represents the company’s first step into beverages and its first non-meat innovation since its founding 17 years ago.
Beyond immerse provides up to 20 grams of plant-based protein per 12-ounce can, alongside 7 grams of fiber, electrolytes, antioxidants and vitamin C. Positioned as a lighter alternative to traditional protein shakes, the drink is offered in peach mango, lemon lime, and orange tangerine flavours. Consumers can choose between a 10-gram protein, 60-calorie option or a higher-protein 20-gram, 100-calorie version.
Protein is primarily sourced from pea protein, with fiber derived from tapioca. The drinks are non-GMO and free from sugar alcohols, aligning with clean-label preferences. Initially, beyond immerse will be sold exclusively through Beyond Meat’s direct-to-consumer platform, allowing the company to test demand before broader rollout.
