Chile Launches New Season of Premium Walnuts in India

ChileNut has officially kicked off the new season of Chilean walnut exports to India, offering consumers fresh, high-quality walnuts at a time when global supply is limited. Chile’s unique southern hemisphere harvest season perfectly complements India’s local production, ensuring year-round availability.

Renowned for their light colour, superior freshness, and high yield, Chilean walnuts are exported to over 70 countries and are gaining strong traction in India, which has now become their largest market.

A spokesperson for Chilean walnuts noted the rising demand for premium walnuts in India and highlighted Chile’s strategic role in meeting this need. The harvest, conducted from May to July, ensures walnuts reach Indian consumers from August — aligning with the festive season. A comprehensive marketing and trade campaign has been planned to promote these walnuts nationwide, making them available through both retail stores and major e-commerce platforms.
