Kameda LT Foods, a joint venture between India’s LT Foods and Japan’s Kameda Seika, has launched ‘Krispy Hopu’ under its Kari Kari brand. This roasted, gluten-free, vegan snack is inspired by Japan’s Salada Hopu and offers a unique “Sweet and Salty” flavour blend. Made without palm oil and not fried, it caters to health-conscious consumers seeking flavourful yet clean-label snacks. Drawing from Niigata’s rice heritage and using Japanese technology, the snack delivers a light, crispy texture.
India’s savoury snacks market is valued at ₹45,000 crore, with growing demand for innovative, high-quality, and versatile products. Kameda LT Foods aims to carve out a new roasted snacking category through continued innovation in ingredients, flavours, and textures. The Krispy Hopu launch marks another milestone in this mission.
