Milky Mist Dairy Food Ltd, one of India’s leading value-added dairy companies, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Maharashtra to establish a large milk processing and dairy manufacturing facility in the state. The agreement was formalised at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and was signed by Dr. K. Rathnam, CEO of Milky Mist.
Under the MoU, the company will develop a milk processing plant with an initial capacity of 10 lakh litres per day (LLPD), expandable to 25 LLPD. The facility will manufacture a wide range of products, including paneer, curd, yoghurt, cheese, butter, ghee and ice cream. The project will be built on around 48 acres of land allotted by MIDC.
With an estimated investment of ₹1,130 crore, the project is expected to create about 800 direct jobs. Milk will be sourced locally, strengthening Maharashtra’s dairy ecosystem and supporting regional farmers.
