Millet also called as Nutri cereal is an ancient grain that people have enjoyed for thousands of years. It provides multiple benefits to physical and mental health and becoming remarkably popular as it is fast-growing, drought -resistant, and requires low input. Known as the âforgotten crop, millet is now seen as a key crop that will raise the resiliency of farmers to climate shocks, raise livelihood security of smallholders and help ensure food security and healthy diets. This specialized course is designed to equip participants with deeper understanding of qualitative analysis of bioactive components in millets.
Key aspects of the millet processing are explained in detail, including Millets as a pathway to food security in India, processing of millets and its properties, importance of millets in Nutraceutical industry, Indian status of millets, and future challenges. Specific guidance is given for traditional and advanced processing techniques, importance of quality control in millet processing and future direction for millet processing and quality control.
To aid learning, several quizzes are included to help participants assess their understanding of the topics covered. The course provides valuable materials that can be applied to millets value addition and enhance technical knowledge. It is highly interactive, encouraging participants to ask questions and share experiences gained through industry work. The course features a series of lectures combined with individual and group exercises to facilitate better learning.

Graduates in any discipline are eligible for our Post Graduate Diploma, Executive Diploma and Professional Certifications Programmes. 10+2 pass-outs are eligible for our Under Graduate Diploma and Diploma holders of two to three years course duration are also eligible for the PG Diploma.
The duration of the training is 5 days.

Online assessment will be conducted at the end of the programme and after successful completion; the participants will be awarded Professional Certification in Millet Processing by Faculty of Food Safety and Quality, IGMPI.
Every student is required to observe a disciplined behaviour during her/his classes, assessments & examinations and to follow instructions from the Professors. Any act of indiscipline may result into discredit & it will be mentioned in her/his academic report.
For the Post Graduate Diploma and Undergraduate Diploma Programmes, we will provide placement assistance after the completion of the programme.
