GE HealthCare has introduced CareIntellect for Perinatal, a cloud-based platform designed to improve maternal and fetal monitoring. Following the launch of CareIntellect for Oncology in October 2024, this marks the company’s second cloud-first offering in its CareIntellect portfolio.
The platform, available via a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, consolidates multiple clinical data sources—such as uterine activity, blood pressure, fetal heart rate, and maternal SpOâ‚‚—into a single, chronological view. This unified interface allows clinicians to quickly assess patient status, annotate events, search historical data, and monitor remotely, reducing administrative burdens and enabling more focused patient care.
Developed in collaboration with HCA Healthcare, CareIntellect for Perinatal incorporates clinical input at every stage to ensure relevance and usability at the point of care. The platform runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS), following a shared infrastructure model similar to other medtech leaders like Philips, which hosts its HealthSuite diagnostics portfolio on the cloud.
