Major U.S. Health System Expands Sectra Cloud Imaging with Digital Pathology for Cancer Care

A leading U.S. multi-regional health system is expanding its use of Sectra’s enterprise imaging cloud, adding digital pathology to enhance integrated diagnostics in cancer care. Already using Sectra’s radiology and ophthalmology modules, the provider will now enable pathologists to digitally review tissue samples, collaborate remotely, and leverage AI tools—all within a unified system.

This expansion supports improved cross-specialty coordination, helping radiologists and pathologists make more informed, timely decisions. The agreement, signed in June 2025 following a successful pilot, is valued at $8.9 million through 2033.

Sectra’s scalable, VNA-based platform streamlines imaging across departments, reducing costs and boosting care quality. Headquartered in Sweden, Sectra supports healthcare providers globally and also secures sensitive data for European defense and government sectors.
