MintNeuro and Motif Neurotech Partner to Advance Brain-Computer Interface Therapies

MintNeuro has partnered with Motif Neurotech to accelerate the development of miniature brain-computer interface (BCI) therapies for mental health conditions.

The collaboration combines MintNeuro’s low-power neural interface chips with Motif Neurotech’s implant platform, aiming to bring next-generation treatments closer to clinical use for conditions such as depression and bipolar disorder. Under a multi-year agreement, Motif will integrate MintNeuro’s sensing and stimulation chips across preclinical studies and clinical trial phases.

The partnership is expected to support rapid progress from system design to real-world validation, with ongoing feedback helping refine chip performance and functionality. The companies are working to align future chip development with key clinical milestones, expanding capabilities from neural sensing to stimulation.

Motif Neurotech has already received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to begin a clinical trial targeting treatment-resistant depression, signalling momentum in the emerging BCI therapy space.
