Singapore Clears AI Tool for Real-Time Bladder Tumour Detection

Intelligent Scopes Corp (ISC) has secured regulatory approval from Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority for CystoSmart, its artificial intelligence–based software designed to support bladder tumour detection during cystoscopy. The clearance allows the company to commercialise the technology in Singapore and strengthens its pathway for faster approvals in markets such as Canada, Australia, the UK and Switzerland through the Access Consortium.

CystoSmart assists clinicians during endoscopic bladder examinations using standard white light cystoscopy and works with both rigid and flexible scopes, including single-use devices. The software supports tumour identification in real time as well as through post-procedure analysis.

Clinical and technical assessments show the system delivers sensitivity above 95% and specificity above 98% in detecting bladder tumours. By improving detection accuracy and reliably ruling out disease, the technology aims to reduce missed lesions and avoid unnecessary biopsies, easing both clinical burden and patient anxiety.
