Terumo Neuro Introduces SOFIA 88 Neurovascular Catheter in the US

Terumo Neuro has launched the SOFIA 88 Neurovascular Support Catheter in the US, expanding its stroke treatment portfolio. This large-bore catheter offers enhanced procedural flexibility and precise control during interventions. Featuring a 0.088-inch inner diameter, it boasts improved trackability with optimized transition zones and a soft, atraumatic distal tip. The catheter provides proximal stability and flexibility along its entire length, reducing vessel trauma and easing navigation with both short and long sheaths.

Compatible with the SOFIA Flow Plus 6F Aspiration Catheter, SOFIA 88 supports current aspiration techniques. Clinical data from the SOFAST registry highlights the SOFIA Flow Plus 6F’s effectiveness, speed, and safety. This new addition complements Terumo Neuro’s extensive stroke care product line, including retrieval devices, balloon guide catheters, microcatheters, and guidewires.
