In celebration of World Oceans Day, the Hong Kong Sustainable Seafood Coalition (HKSSC) will host the Sustainable SEAFood Festival from June 1–30, 2025. Over 45 restaurants across Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore will feature curated menus highlighting sustainable seafood options.
These seafood-loving regions face growing urgency to adopt responsible practices, with Hong Kong residents consuming over 66.5kg of seafood annually—three times the global average. With a third of global fisheries overfished, the festival encourages diners and restaurants to support marine conservation.
Participating venues include Amber at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental (HK), 5 ON 25 at Andaz Singapore, and Brasserie at The Parisian Macao. Dishes feature certified sustainable ingredients like MSC cod, MEL oysters, and BAP prawns. The festival promotes sustainability as essential—not just trendy—for the future of food and oceans.
