Critical MongoDB Vulnerability Exploited in the Wild, Warnings Issued
Security researchers have confirmed that a serious vulnerability in MongoDB (tracked as CVE-2025-14847) is actively being exploited by attackers worldwide. The flaw allows unauthenticated threat actors to leak sensitive data from MongoDB servers, affecting tens of thousands of instances that remain unpatched. Agencies including CISA have updated their exploited vulnerabilities catalog and are urging organisations to apply mitigations before mid-January to prevent data exposure and system compromise.
