Johnson & Johnson has announced positive 52-week results from its Phase III ICONIC-ADVANCE 1, ICONIC-ADVANCE 2, and ICONIC-LEAD trials evaluating Icotyde (icotrokinra), an oral treatment for plaque psoriasis. The findings were presented at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting 2026.
In the ICONIC-ADVANCE trials, the proportion of patients achieving complete skin clearance (PASI 100) improved significantly over time. In ADVANCE 1, rates increased from 41% at week 24 to 49% at week 52, while ADVANCE 2 saw an increase from 33% to 48%. Patients who initially received placebo and later switched to Icotyde achieved comparable results by one year.
The safety profile remained stable, with lower rates of adverse events and infections compared to deucravacitinib through week 24. In the ICONIC-LEAD study, nearly 60% of adolescents achieved complete clearance at one year, with strong sustained responses.
These results highlight Icotyde’s potential as an effective first-line systemic therapy for moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.
