Cosmetic Industry Unveils Advanced Skincare Technologies at in-cosmetics Asia 2026

Leading cosmetic ingredient manufacturers have introduced new skincare technologies at in-cosmetics Asia 2026, held from 3–5 November in Bangkok. The exhibition highlights innovations in skin barrier repair, hydration, sun protection and regeneration, reflecting the industry's growing emphasis on scientifically developed cosmetic formulations.

BASF unveiled Lincare, a flaxseed-derived active ingredient designed to support skin recovery following aesthetic procedures, particularly laser treatments. According to the company's clinical testing, a formulation containing 1% Lincare accelerated skin barrier recovery by 21% compared with a placebo, demonstrating its potential for post-treatment skincare applications.

Clariant introduced Eclipsogen CAP Duo Z, an advanced hybrid ultraviolet (UV) filter system combining organic UV filters with zinc oxide. The ready-to-use ingredient is intended to simplify sunscreen manufacturing while improving formulation stability and UV protection. The company also presented Sensotain ILS, a multifunctional emollient developed to enhance ingredient compatibility and photostability.

Meanwhile, Spanish biotechnology company Vytrus Biotech launched Hydranode, a microbiome-inspired ingredient developed to improve the skin's natural ability to regulate moisture. Using microbial fermentation technology, the ingredient aims to support long-lasting hydration by strengthening the skin's internal water-management mechanisms.

Mibelle Biochemistry showcased PhytoCellTec Aloha, a plant stem cell-based ingredient designed to address the effects of psychological stress on skin health. The company claims that the technology helps protect epidermal stem cells, strengthen the skin barrier and reduce visible signs of stress-related ageing.

These developments reflect a growing shift towards biotechnology-driven cosmetic ingredients, multifunctional formulations and products designed to maintain long-term skin health.
