Chocolate Recall Issued Over Undeclared Hazelnuts

Lidl US has recalled all lots of Favorina Chocolate Ladybugs – German-Style Nougat (3.52 oz, UPC 20304492) due to undeclared hazelnuts. This poses a serious risk to individuals with tree nut allergies, as consumption could lead to severe or life-threatening reactions.

The affected products were sold between January 28 and March 11 across Lidl stores in multiple states, including Delaware, Georgia, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, among others.

The issue was identified after it was discovered that the packaging failed to disclose the presence of hazelnuts, despite the product containing them. This labeling error prompted the recall.

No illnesses have been reported so far. However, customers who have purchased the product are strongly advised not to consume it and should return or discard it to avoid potential health risks.
