Cream Cheese Recall Issued Over Undeclared Allergen Risk

Schreiber Foods Inc. has recalled 144 cases of Honey Almond Cream Cheese Spread due to the presence of undeclared almonds, posing a serious risk to individuals with nut allergies.

The affected product was distributed through Einstein Bros. Bagels locations across Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming. It comes in a 6-ounce plastic cup labeled as plain cream cheese but topped with a Honey Almond lid, creating a labeling mismatch.

The issue was traced to a packaging error, where the lid correctly identified the product, but the cup did not indicate the presence of almonds. While no illnesses have been reported, consuming the product could trigger severe or life-threatening allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.

Consumers are advised to check for the lot code “Best If Used By Jul 21, 2026 LO” and return the product for a full refund if affected.
