Sweet Tortilla Products Recalled Over Undeclared Allergens

Mama Grande Tortilla Factory has announced a recall of its Gorditas de Azucar and Doraditas de Azucar due to undeclared wheat and soy, according to findings by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

These allergens can trigger serious or even life-threatening reactions in individuals with sensitivities. The products were distributed across Texas between February 2 and March 5 through retail and wholesale channels.

Affected items include:

• Gorditas de Azucar (UPC: 860010238134)
• Doraditas de Azucar (UPC: 5901234123457)
• All expiration dates are included in the recall

The products come in plastic packaging labeled with the product name and UPC on the front. The issue was identified during an FDA inspection, which found that wheat and soy were not properly disclosed on the labels.

No illnesses have been reported so far. Consumers with allergies are strongly advised not to consume these products and to discard or return them.
