The Association of Food Scientists and Technologists of India (AFSTI), Mumbai Chapter, celebrated Marathi Gaurav Din by introducing school students to food science and technology. Several schools from Mumbai actively participated in the initiative, which aimed to raise awareness about nutritious food.
As part of the event, a workshop on the ‘Importance of a Satvik Diet’ explored the scientific principles behind traditional food. Officials from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and food scientists addressed students on food safety, nutrition, and innovation in food technology.
Students gained insights into cutting-edge research, sustainable food systems, and career opportunities in food science. This initiative, held on Marathi Gaurav Din, successfully promoted awareness of food technology and its role in improving traditional diets.
