Ajinomoto Foods North America Inc. of Portland, Oregon, is recalling approximately 3.37 million pounds of frozen, not-ready-to-eat chicken fried rice after receiving consumer complaints about glass fragments in the products, according to the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The affected items were produced between Sept. 8, 2025, and Nov. 17, 2025, and may still be in consumers’ freezers due to their extended shelf life. Recalled products include 1.53-kilogram packages of “Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice” with best-before dates from 26 SE 09 to 26 NO 12, and 20-ounce bags of Trader Joe's Chicken Fried Rice with best-by dates from Sept. 8, 2026, through Nov. 17, 2026. All packages bear establishment number P-18356 within the USDA inspection mark.
No injuries have been confirmed. Consumers are advised not to eat the products and to consult a healthcare provider if concerned.
