Danone Nutricia Nederland has recalled a batch of Alpro Soja Drink in the Netherlands following reports of nausea and vomiting. The affected product is a 1-liter shelf-stable soy drink with a best-before date of April 27, 2026, and batch code BD2625 (7:59–11:41 am). Produced in Belgium, it was distributed in the Netherlands and sold at Albert Heijn stores.
According to the European Commission’s Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), two consumers reported nausea and vomiting, while most complaints cited only a taste deviation. Alpro emphasized that there is no health risk for those who already consumed the drink.
The company explained that the batch remained in a storage tank longer than usual, increasing air exposure and altering taste. After consulting with the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA), Alpro decided to withdraw the batch and assured corrective measures to maintain product quality.
