Boar’s Head Pecorino Romano Cheese Recalled Over Listeria Risk

Supreme Service Solutions LLC (Supreme Deli) is assisting with a recall involving pecorino romano cheese supplied by Ambriola Company for Boar’s Head Brand. The recall was issued because certain batches may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Recalled Products:

  • Boar’s Head Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese (6 oz) — Item Code: 858; Case UPC: 042421-05858; Sell-by: 11/21/25–3/12/26
  • FS Grated Romano Cheese — Item Code: 15119; Case UPC: 042421-15119; Sell-by: 11/21/25–3/12/26

Boar’s Head has also voluntarily withdrawn all Ambriola-produced items, including Pre-cut Pecorino Romano (Item 15160; Sell-by: 11/25/25–5/11/26). The recalled items were distributed to Kroger stores in Kentucky and Indiana.

Health Risks:
Listeria may not change a food’s appearance but can cause severe illness, especially in pregnant women, seniors, children, and immunocompromised individuals. Symptoms include fever, nausea, vomiting, muscle aches, and severe headache. Anyone who consumes the recalled products and develops symptoms should seek medical care.
