Campco Introduces Soil Testing Machine to Help Farmers Improve Crop Yield

The Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Co-operative Limited (CAMPCO) has launched a Soil Testing Machine at its Puttur branch. The new facility was inaugurated by Suresh Balnadu, a member of Campco and progressive farmer, alongside other key figures including A Kishore Kumar Kodgi (President), Dr. BV Sathyanarayana (Managing Director), Raghavendra Bhat (Director), and Dr. Keshav Bhat (Executive Officer, ARDF).

The machine is designed to assist farmers in improving crop yields through scientific soil analysis. It can test 12 key soil nutrients and provide clear, actionable recommendations for effective nutrient management.

Accurate soil testing is crucial for sustainable farming, as nutrient imbalances, whether in excess or deficiency, can harm crop productivity. Kodgi encouraged all Campco members to make use of this facility for more informed and sustainable agricultural practices.
