Cargill Kitchen Solutions Recalls 212,268 Pounds of Liquid Egg Products

Cargill Kitchen Solutions of Lake Odessa, MI, is recalling 212,268 pounds of liquid egg products due to potential contamination with sodium hypochlorite, a cleaning solution, according to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

Recalled Products:

• Egg Beaters Original Liquid Egg Substitute – Use by Aug 10, 2025
• Egg Beaters Cage-Free Original Liquid Egg Substitute – Use by Aug 09, 2025
• Egg Beaters Cage-Free Frozen Egg Substitute – Use by Mar 07, 2026
• Bob Evans Better’n Eggs Made with Real Egg Whites – Use by Aug 10, 2025

All recalled products have establishment number “G1804” and were shipped to Ohio, Texas, and foodservice locations in multiple states.

Although FSIS states the contamination poses no significant health risk, consumers should discard or return the products. No illnesses have been reported.
