Up to ten people in Australia have been affected after milk was detected in Cocobella coconut yogurt, a product marketed as dairy-free. The company has issued a nationwide recall covering all flavors and sizes of Cocobella Coconut Yogurt with use-by dates up to October 6, 2025. The recall does not affect Cocobella’s coconut water range.
The issue first came to light when testing revealed undeclared milk allergens in certain 110-gram pouches. Further checks identified traces in other batches, prompting a broader recall. Cocobella confirmed that its coconut yogurt is made in a facility that also manufactures dairy products.
Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has warned that individuals with milk allergies or intolerances could experience adverse reactions if they consume the affected products. While most batches tested negative, the company is investigating the root cause and working to ensure product safety across its range.
