Idaho Smokehouse Partners LLC is recalling 29,541 pounds of ready-to-eat beef sticks due to possible metal contamination. The recall, announced on March 20 by the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, follows complaints from two consumers. The affected product, “CHOMPS ORIGINAL BEEF STICK MILD,” was produced in January and expires on February 10, 2026. It carries lot code 25016 and establishment number 6220A. These beef sticks were distributed to retailers in California and Illinois.
No injuries have been confirmed, but consumers are advised to dispose of or return the product. Ingesting foreign objects like metal can lead to choking, dental damage, or digestive issues. Anyone experiencing symptoms should seek medical attention.
