Costco has issued a recall for select batches of its Meatloaf with Mashed Yukon Potatoes and Glaze due to potential contamination with Salmonella. The issue stems from an ingredient supplied by Griffith Foods Inc., which may carry the bacteria.
The affected products include Item #30783 with sell-by dates between March 5 and March 16, 2026, and were sold across multiple U.S. locations between March 2 and March 13. Consumers are strongly advised not to consume the recalled items.
Salmonella infection can cause symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps, typically appearing within 12 to 72 hours after consumption. While most healthy adults recover within a week, severe cases may require hospitalization.
Young children, elderly individuals, pregnant women, and those with weakened immune systems face a higher risk of serious illness. Anyone experiencing symptoms after consuming the product should seek medical attention promptly.
