Country Eggs Expands Recall Linked to Salmonella Outbreak

Country Eggs LLC has updated code dates for its ongoing egg recall tied to a Salmonella outbreak that has sickened at least 95 people. The recall now includes Nagatoshi Produce, Misuho, Nijiya Markets, and bulk Country Eggs products with sell-by dates from July 1 through Sept. 23 and Sept. 24, 2025.

The affected Large Brown Cage-Free Sunshine Eggs were distributed to grocery stores and food service providers. Retail cartons bear the following identifiers:

  • Nagatoshi Produce, Misuho, and Nijiya Markets: Sell-by 7/1/25–9/18/25, Code No. CA 7695
  • Bulk for Foodservice: Labeled “Country Eggs Large Brown Sunshine Yolks,” Sell-by 7/1/25–9/18/25

Because eggs have a long shelf life, officials warn consumers may still have recalled products at home. Items should be discarded or returned to the point of purchase.
