Cucumber-Linked Products Recalled Over Salmonella Risk

The Coastal Companies have recalled 17 salad, salsa, and deli items due to possible Salmonella contamination from cucumbers supplied by Bedner Growers and distributed by Fresh Start Produce Sales. This recall is tied to a Salmonella outbreak affecting 26 people in 15 states.

The recalled items — including products from East Coast Fresh, Wellsley Farms, WEIS, AHOLD, TOPS, Jack and Olive, and Created Fresh — were distributed between May 6–21, 2025 in 12 states and D.C. All lot codes are affected.

No illnesses have been linked directly to Coastal’s products, but consumers, retailers, and food service operators are advised to discard or destroy any of the listed items. If unsure whether a product contains cucumber, it should also be discarded.

Salmonella infection symptoms may include diarrhea, cramps, and fever, and can pose severe health risks for vulnerable populations. Seek medical care if symptoms develop.
