Friendly’s Recalls Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Over Undeclared Allergens

Friendly’s Ice Cream is recalling select 48-ounce containers of Cookies & Cream ice cream due to undeclared soy and wheat. The affected product was mistakenly packaged in Vanilla Bean ice cream cartons with a Cookies & Cream lid, omitting allergen labeling. Individuals with soy or wheat allergies risk serious or life-threatening reactions if consumed.

The recalled ice cream was distributed via UNFI to retail stores in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The impacted containers display a “Best By” date of 11/26/25 on the lid. No other Friendly’s products are part of this recall, and no allergic reactions have been reported.

The packaging error was discovered during internal checks. Consumers who purchased the affected product should return it to the store for a full refund. For further information, customers can contact Friendly’s at 800-587-2259. Health officials urge those with allergies to avoid consuming the recalled ice cream.
