Gina Marie Bakery Recalls Cookies for Undeclared Allergens

Gina Marie Bakery of Waterbury, CT, has issued a recall of several cookie varieties due to undeclared allergens, including nuts, sesame seeds, and food dyes. People with these allergies risk serious or life-threatening reactions if the products are consumed.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the cookies were sold in packaging that did not list the allergens. Sales have been suspended until the issue is fully resolved.

Affected products include Italian Mixed Vanilla Cookies, Italian Sesame Cookies, Vanilla Chocolate Dipped Cookies, Vanilla with Apricot Jam Cookies, Toasted Almond & Cherry Biscotti, and Vanilla Cookies with Raspberry Peach Jam. The cookies were distributed across Connecticut and select Massachusetts locations in 1-pound clamshell containers (Italian Mixed Vanilla Cookies also in 2-pound containers).
