Gold Star Distribution recalls products over rodent and bird contamination

Gold Star Distribution, Inc. is recalling all FDA-regulated products listed in a recent notice due to contamination risks from rodent and bird excreta. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found the facility operating under unsanitary conditions, including the presence of rodent urine, droppings, and bird feces in areas storing medical devices, drugs, human and pet food, dietary supplements, and cosmetics.

Exposure to these contaminated products can pose serious health risks, including bacterial infections such as Salmonella or Leptospira, potentially causing severe illness in vulnerable individuals. Contaminated medical devices, drugs, foods, or cosmetics may lead to infections, adverse reactions, or illness in humans and animals.

The recall excludes items shipped directly to retail outlets. No illnesses have been reported. A full list of affected products is available on the FDA website.
