Gordon Desserts recalls Sundae Shoppe Mochi Ice Cream due to undeclared wheat and soy

Gordon Desserts, operating as Mochidoki in Totowa, NJ, is recalling 5,016 shippers of its Sundae Shoppe Cookies and Cream Mochi Ice Cream due to undeclared wheat and soy, both known allergens. The allergens were not listed on the product label, prompting a Class II recall initiated on April 3, 2025, indicating a low risk of serious health effects but possible temporary or reversible reactions. The affected product, packaged in 6-count (7.5 oz) plastic trays inside paper cartons, was distributed to retailers in Connecticut, Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Impacted lot codes include: 32624, 34024, 01025, 03125, 05725, 06525, 08025, 08725, and 09225. No illnesses have been reported to date. Consumers should not eat the product and are advised to return it or discard it. Wheat and soy can cause allergic reactions ranging from hives to life-threatening anaphylaxis. Anyone experiencing symptoms after consumption should seek immediate medical attention.
