The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for ready-to-eat chicken and bacon wraps from Rachael’s Food Corporation in Chicopee, MA, due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
While a formal recall wasn’t initiated—since the products are no longer on the market—FSIS warns that some items may still be in consumers’ refrigerators. The contamination was discovered after a state health agency reported a positive Listeria test in a sample.
The wraps were produced on May 2, 2025, and distributed to stores in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York. No illnesses have been reported so far.
Consumers should not eat the product and are advised to discard it or return it. Those experiencing symptoms should seek medical attention and mention possible Listeria exposure.
