The recall includes 15 varieties of their 23-ounce fruit breads and their 7.5-ounce fritters. Individuals with egg allergies or sensitivities are at risk of experiencing serious or potentially life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
The issue was identified on July 17 during a routine inspection by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which revealed that a recent reprint of product labels had accidentally omitted egg from the ingredient list.
So far, no allergic reactions or health issues have been reported in connection with the recalled products. However, as a precaution, consumers who are allergic to eggs are strongly advised not to eat the affected items.
Anyone who has purchased the recalled products should discard them or return them to the place of purchase. For additional information, contact Hillside Orchard Farms directly.
