Juniper Granola Recalls Junebars Over Undeclared Milk and Soy

Juniper Granola LLC of Rochester, New York, is recalling its Chocolate Cherry and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Junebars after discovering the products may contain undeclared milk and soy. Individuals with allergies or severe sensitivities to these ingredients could face serious or potentially life-threatening reactions if the bars are consumed.

The issue came to light after a customer reported an allergic reaction linked to milk. An internal review found that the problem stemmed from a sourcing error in which non-vegan chocolate chips containing milk and soy were mistakenly used during production. The company typically manufactures its Junebars using dairy-free and soy-free chocolate chips.

The affected products were sold in New York State during January through grocery retailers and direct-to-consumer website orders. Recalled bars can be identified by lot codes L1300, L1300A, L1300B, or L1301A printed near the bottom on the back of the package.
