Kandy cantaloupe recalled following testing finds Salmonella

Eagle Produce LLC of Scottsdale, AZ is recalling 224 cases of whole cantaloupes due to potential Salmonella contamination. This recall follows routine testing by the State of Michigan, which found Salmonella in cantaloupes sold at retail.

The affected cantaloupes were distributed between August 13 and 17 to retail supermarkets in Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia. The recall includes cantaloupes under the Kandy brand with the following details:

- Brand: Kandy

- Item Description: Whole Cantaloupe

- UPC Number Code: 4050

- Lot Code: 846468

The recalled cantaloupes are marked with a red and white sticker displaying "KANDY" and the UPC code 4050. No other products or lot codes are affected. No illnesses have been reported related to these products. Customers are advised not to consume the recalled cantaloupes and to dispose of them.
