Meijer Recalls Dark Chocolate Almonds Due to Undeclared Cashews

Meijer is recalling certain lots of Frederik’s Dark Chocolate Almonds after discovering they may contain undeclared dark chocolate-covered cashews. This poses a serious risk to those with cashew allergies.

The issue was reported by a customer who found cashews in the product, which were not listed on the label. No related illnesses have been reported so far.

Consumers with cashew allergies should not eat the product and are advised to return it to any Meijer store for a full refund.

Cashew allergies can trigger symptoms ranging from mild reactions to severe anaphylaxis, a potentially life-threatening condition that requires immediate medical attention.
