Milk Allergy Risk Prompts Breader Mix Recall

Homegrown Family Foods has recalled its Shore Lunch Oven Style Breader & Batter Mix after a consumer’s allergic reaction revealed the presence of undeclared milk. Individuals with milk allergies may face serious health risks if they consume the product.

The 6-ounce boxes were sold in retail stores across 10 states, including Illinois, Iowa, and New York, between April 29, 2024, and May 1, 2025. Affected boxes are marked with UPC 2473912000 and Best By dates from April 23, 2025, to Feb. 25, 2026, including various lot codes.

The recall was issued after a milk-containing product was packaged without proper labeling.

Consumers with dairy allergies should not consume the product and may return it for a full refund.
