Olympia Provisions, based in Portland, Oregon, has issued a recall of approximately 1,930 pounds of ready-to-eat holiday kielbasa after a potential contamination with metal fragments. The recall was announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The affected sausages were produced on October 14, 2025, and may still be in consumers’ homes due to their extended shelf life, which runs through February 19, 2026. The recalled product is sold in 16-ounce vacuum-sealed plastic packages containing one fully cooked “Olympia Provisions Uncured Holiday Kielbasa,” marked with a “Best If Used By 02/19/26” date. The establishment number “EST. 39928” appears inside the USDA inspection mark.
The product was distributed to retail outlets in California, Oregon, and Washington, and was also sold nationwide through direct-to-consumer online channels. The issue came to light after a customer reported finding metal in the sausage. No injuries have been confirmed, but consumers are advised not to eat the product and to seek medical attention if concerned.
