Poultry India Marks World Veterinary Day 2026 with Focus on Food Safety and Careers

Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association–Poultry India joined the celebrations of World Veterinary Day 2026 in collaboration with the Department of Poultry Science at the College of Veterinary Science, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.

The event, themed “Veterinarians: Guardians of Food and Health,” was attended by M Gnana Prakash as chief guest and M Udaya Kumar. Uday Singh Bayas emphasised the need for stronger collaboration between academia and industry to support sector growth.

Chaired by RMV Prasad, the programme featured technical sessions and discussions involving faculty, students, and industry experts. Speakers highlighted the critical role veterinarians play in ensuring food safety, public health, and addressing misconceptions around poultry nutrition.

The event also included an elocution competition to promote scientific awareness, along with expert talks on career opportunities, entrepreneurship, and emerging trends in the poultry industry, encouraging students to explore diverse professional pathways.
