Publix Recalls Baby Food Over Lead Concerns

Publix Super Markets Inc. has recalled GreenWise Pear, Kiwi, Spinach & Pea Baby Food due to possible elevated lead levels. The 4-ounce pouches, made by Bowman Andros LLC, were sold in eight states and marked with GTIN 41415–00901 and a best-by date of 11/01/2025.

The recall follows routine testing and is being conducted with FDA knowledge. No illnesses have been reported. Customers can return the product for a full refund.

Lead exposure, especially in infants and children, can harm development—even without visible symptoms. It may cause abdominal pain, fatigue, irritability, or more severe effects like seizures or coma with prolonged exposure.
