Rosina Food Products Inc. of West Seneca, New York, is recalling 9,462 pounds of ready-to-eat frozen meatballs after a customer reported finding metal fragments in the product, according to the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The fully cooked frozen meatballs were produced on July 30, 2025. Due to the product’s 15-month shelf life, officials are concerned some packages may still be stored in consumers’ freezers.
The recall applies to 32-ounce bags of “Bremer Family Size Italian Style Meatballs,” labeled with a “BEST BY” date of Oct. 30, 2026, and timestamps between 17:08 and 18:20. The packages bear establishment number “EST. 4286B” within the USDA inspection mark. The items were distributed to Aldi supermarkets nationwide.
No injuries have been confirmed. Consumers are advised not to eat the product and should contact a healthcare provider if concerned about possible injury.
