USDA Issues Health Alert for Mislabeled Schnucks Tortellini with Undeclared Allergens

The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for Schnucks Tortellini Pork & Beef due to undeclared soy and sesame allergens. The product, labeled as tortellini, may actually contain toasted ravioli, which includes these allergens.

Though no recall was initiated—since the product is no longer for sale—consumers may still have the item in their freezers. Affected product details:

  • 16-ounce bags of Schnucks Tortellini PORK & BEEF
  • Best by date: 05/27/2026
  • Establishment number: “EST. 13051” inside the USDA mark of inspection

The item was produced on May 27 and distributed to Schnucks stores in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin. The issue was discovered following a consumer complaint.

Consumers with soy or sesame allergies should not consume the product and are advised to discard it or return it. No adverse reactions have been reported to date.
