Vincenzo’s Sweet and Savory Mix Recalled in Canada for Salmonella Risk

Vincenzo’s brand Sweet and Savory Mix has been recalled in Canada due to potential Salmonella contamination. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency reports that the product was sold in Ontario in variable-weight packages. Consumers can identify the recalled item by checking for UPC 2372188 015120, code 7219, and a Best Before date of 2025 DEC 10.

Health Risks and Symptoms

Salmonella-contaminated foods typically appear normal, making infections easy to overlook. While anyone can become ill, infants, seniors, pregnant individuals, and those with weakened immune systems face a higher risk of severe complications.

People who consumed the recalled product and experienced symptoms—such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps, or fever within 12–72 hours—should seek medical care and mention possible Salmonella exposure. Severe cases may require hospitalization, particularly in vulnerable groups.

Some individuals may carry the bacteria without symptoms yet still transmit it to others, underscoring the importance of caution following exposure.
