Wholesale Produce Supply Recalls Fresh Cut Cantaloupe and Mixed Fruit Over Listeria Risk

Wholesale Produce Supply, based in Minneapolis, MN, has recalled over 25 fresh cut fruit products, including cantaloupe, fruit bowls, and mixed fruit trays, after testing revealed possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The items, sold under the Harvest Cuts and Fresh & Finest brands, were distributed to Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wisconsin, with potential distribution into additional states.

The recall was triggered by routine testing that detected contamination in finished products. The company has suspended production and distribution of the affected lots while investigating the source. At this time, no illnesses have been reported, though Listeria symptoms may take up to 70 days to appear.

Consumers who purchased recalled products are urged to return them for a refund or contact the company’s food safety team at 612-378-2025. Listeria poses heightened risks for pregnant women, infants, older adults, and immunocompromised individuals, potentially leading to severe illness or death.
