National Institute of Naturopathy Opens Applications for Yogic Sciences Degree Programme

The National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN), an autonomous institution under India's Ministry of Ayush, has invited applications for its Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) programme for the 2026–27 academic session. The course will be conducted at the institute's Nisarg Gram campus in Yewalewadi, Pune.

The programme offers 100 seats and is designed as a five-and-a-half-year, full-time residential course. It comprises four-and-a-half years of academic and clinical training, followed by a compulsory one-year rotatory residential internship. The curriculum is intended to combine formal instruction with practical exposure to naturopathy and yoga-based healthcare.

According to the government announcement, NIN is the first central government institution in India to offer the BNYS programme in affiliation with Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University in New Delhi. The initiative is intended to strengthen institutional education and academic standards in naturopathy and yogic sciences.

Applicants must have completed Class 12 or an equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised board. Candidates must also meet the prescribed eligibility and medical fitness requirements. Preference is being given to applicants who appeared for NEET-UG 2026. Any remaining seats may be filled according to Class 12 science marks, subject to the applicable admission rules and reservation provisions.

The institute's 25-acre Nisarg Gram campus includes a 250-bed naturopathy hospital, academic and research facilities, residential hostels and dedicated yoga halls. These facilities are intended to provide students with an integrated environment for classroom learning, clinical practice and research.

The admission notice stated that online applications opened on 29 September 2026 and would close on 19 October 2026 at 5 p.m. The institute has published the prospectus, fee details and application information through its official website.
