Foster Farms Recalls 3.8 Million Pounds of Chicken Corn Dogs Over Wood Contamination Risk

Foster Poultry Farms LLC of Livingston, California, has issued a nationwide recall of more than 3.8 million pounds of chicken corn dog products due to potential contamination with wood pieces embedded in the batter, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The recalled items were produced between July 30, 2024, and August 4, 2025, and display the establishment number “P-6137B” inside the USDA inspection mark or elsewhere on the packaging. The products were distributed to retail, institutional, and Department of Defense locations, including some schools through commercial sales. The issue came to light after consumer complaints, including five reports of injuries. FSIS warns that affected products may still be in home or institutional freezers. Consumers and organizations are advised not to eat the recalled items and to dispose of or return them immediately. Anyone injured should contact a healthcare professional.
