A multi-province outbreak of E. coli O26 infections has been linked to Pillsbury Pizza Pops. As of Jan. 25, 23 people have fallen ill, 5 hospitalized, ages 1–87. Illness onset ranged from early October to late November 2025.
Products recalled: 11 varieties, including 3 Cheese, Pepperoni, Pepperoni + Bacon, 3 Meat, Supremo, and Deluxe snacks (sizes 380 g–3 kg). Check date codes on packages; affected codes range from 08JN2026WN to 21JN2026WN.
Health risks: Symptoms include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea (often bloody), and fever. 5–10% of cases may develop hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), a serious kidney complication. High-risk groups: children <5, older adults, immunocompromised patients.
Action: Do not eat recalled products. Dispose safely, disinfect surfaces, and seek medical care if symptoms occur.
