Rich’s Ice Cream has recalled 110,292 cases of ice cream bars and frozen treats over possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination, according to the FDA. The affected products were distributed to wholesale vendors and schools in over 20 U.S. states and the Bahamas. While distributors were notified on June 27, no public announcement was made at that time.

Consumers are urged to discard any products from Lot No. 24351 through 25156, including:

  • Chocolate Crunch Cake Bar
  • Strawberry Shortcake Bar
  • Rich Bar
  • Crumbled Cookie Bar
  • Orange Cream Bar
  • Fudge Frenzy Bar
  • Cotton Candy Twirl Bar
  • Savagely Sour Blue Raspberry/Cherry Bars

Listeria can cause severe illness, especially in pregnant women, older adults, and immunocompromised individuals. Symptoms may take up to 70 days to appear and include fever, nausea, vomiting, and muscle aches. Anyone experiencing symptoms after consuming these treats should seek medical care immediately.
