Celebrations Senna Leaf Herbal Tea Recalled in Canada for Salmonella Risk

Celebrations brand Senna Leaf Herbal Tea has been recalled in Canada following the detection of Salmonella contamination. The recall was announced by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The affected tea was sold online and distributed in British Columbia, New Brunswick, and Ontario. Consumers can identify the recalled product by the following details: UPC 6 28240 20182 9, LOT 251004, and BEST BY OCT 29 2028.

Food contaminated with Salmonella typically appears normal in taste, smell, and appearance. Symptoms generally appear 12 to 72 hours after consumption and may include fever, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. Most healthy adults recover within a week, though some cases may require hospitalization.

Anyone who consumed the recalled tea and develops symptoms should seek medical care and inform their doctor about possible Salmonella exposure. Even individuals without symptoms may still spread the bacteria to others.
